Welcome to my NEW Blog

Hi to Everyone. I want to welcome everyone to my new Blog. Seems that Google has gobbled up my other blog - and I can no longer post to my old url - so we will have to be satisfied with this new blogspot - and get over it.
It's been a long time since I have posted, and let me explain - it's very simple. My new kitten that I got last summer - FRIED my laptop with a bottle of water in November. I have just recently got my computer back, and have spent the last 4 weeks updating all of my information. Now - I figure - it's time to update my blog.

What has happened in this past few months?
Well - I won't go into too much detail.
After the computer was fried - I spent a lot of money on a new motherboard.
I lost a lot of information - and a lot of contacts - so - hopefully, you will add
me back into your databases, and send me an e-mail or comment, so that I can
add you back into my database.

I will have to get my blog back up to speed as well.
I've been very busy with work - my parents and I own a small steel fabricating business, and
we work extensively with the industries located around southwestern Ontario.
After Christmas - which is usually a slow time for us - we received a major contract (major for us) from CN Railway - to build carts for the track maintanence department across Canada.
This will keep us busy for a while.

Back on the farm.
We started our breeding groups on January 1st - a bit late this year - but due to circumstances and the weather - that's just the way it happened.

I have now pulled the rams from the ewes - and the waiting period has begun.

With the colder weather - came all of the problems.
2 weeks ago - we burst a pipe in the basement - and it flooded everything.
I've spent much of the last few weeks just cleaning up and mopping. As soon as everything
dries out - I will begin sorting, tossing and saving stuff - what a lot of work -when
I really don't have the time or energy to do anything else.

To top everything off - the same day the pipe burst - one of my beautiful barn kitties (Mew)
-see his picture at the right - threw a blood clot
in his left leg - and is now partially paralyzed in the hind end. He is the sweetest cat I have ever
know - and needless to say - Mew is now a house kitty. He is lucky to be alive - and is slowly regaining
the use of his legs. He will now forever be a house cat because
it is far too dangerous to put him in the barn. He does command a lot of my time and energy, as he requires daily massage, several different medications, and weekly acupuncture sessions.
I must send accolades to my wonderful vet. Many vets would have said to euthanize him - but
his will is just too strong.

Well - in my next post - I will do some updating on further happenings on the farm and how we are progressing in other areas. Bye for now
